Menagerie of Microbes. ASCUS Lab

This commission by ASCUS Art & Science showcases the Menagerie of Microbes exhibition which took place at the Laboratory Gallery in Summerhall (Edinburgh) in between the 26th March and the 13th May 2016.

Within and around us there live vast colonies of microorganisms. They are resourceful, connected and resilient. Menagerie of Microbes presents the work of artists, designers and scientists, exploring the cultural histories, biological behaviours, and speculative possibilities of bacteria, slime mould and fungi. Works by Heather Barnett, Anna Dumitriu, ecoLogicStudio, Patrick Hickey, Simon Park, Sarah Roberts, Urban Morphogenesis Lab and the ASCUS Lab.
